Ask your MP to Fix The Food Chain

The meat and dairy industry produces 18% of global climate-changing emissions – more than every plane, car and lorry on the planet. Animals on British factory farms are pumped full of protein to speed their growth. Rainforest habitat is being cleared to create vast soy plantations to provide animal feedstuffs. Small-scale farmers are being forced off their land and are no longer able to grow food for their families, and nearer home, UK farmers are vulnerable to fluctuating commodity prices. Friends of the Earth’s new campaign is pushing for thriving yet planet-friendly farming.
