Personal
Power
for
the Planet
It
is easy to feel overwhelmed when facing global issues.
Yet
it is also possible to learn ways of deepening determination, cultivating
enthusiasm and becoming more inspired.
A
talk by Chris Johnstone
author
of Find Your
Power
Wednesday
19 July 2006, 7.30-9.30pm
Basement
Room, St John's Church, Broomfield Place
off
Mattock Lane, West Ealing W13 9LB
No
entry fee, all welcome
Taking
a psychological approach to power, this evening talk:
•
introduces tools for developing positive vision
• describes
ways of moving through blocks and resistance to change
• offers
methods that can help us rise to the challenge of responding
to the disturbing realities of our time, such as climate change,
mass
starvation and other global issues.
Chris
Johnstone has worked alongside eco-philosopher Joanna Macy
for
nearly two decades in
developing trainings to cultivate empowered
responses to global
issues. He draws on his work as an addictions
specialist and as a
teacher of positive psychology.
