If you are aged under 60 and not on benefits, Energy Smart in partnership with Ealing Council provide discounts on a range of high efficiency boilers. Prices range from £310 to over £1000. The boiler that you need will depend on the size of your central heating system, the space you have available, and the type of boiler you need.

Every private home owner in the borough is entitled to free or discounted loft and cavity wall insulation through the Heatstreets scheme, which is run in partnership with Ealing Council and Powergen. The lagging of pipes and fitting of jackets on hot water tanks can also be carried out.

There are other grants available to those over 60 and/or on benefits. It provides free and independent advice on behalf of the council on grants, general energy efficiency, tariff switching, renewable energy, and referrals to certain schemes.
