Local Area Agreement Priorities
Local authorities in England have chosen their priorities for new Local Area Agreements (LAAs). The new system aims to simplify the process of performance management, with a reduction in indicators for local authorities from around 1,200 to just 198. Out of these, local authorities have each chosen a maximum of 35 which have associated targets agreed with Whitehall (plus statutory education and childcare targets).
Ealing
has set 23 local priorities, including:
Per capita reduction in
CO2 emissions (100 out of 150 councils chose this)
Percentage of
household waste sent for reuse, recycling and composting (68 councils
chose this one)
